Our Team

Chandrasekar Rathinam
Chan is a specialist children’s physiotherapist with more than 15 years of NHS experience. He treats children with neurological, orthopaedic, neuromuscular conditions and sports injuries. He enjoys managing them with an appropriate physical rehabilitation programme using a holistic approach and evidence based practice.

Chan is proficient in using standardised assessment tools, postural care management, wheelchair assessment, orthotics and gait analysis. He has excellent training and experience in biomechanical approach, taping, orthopaedic and Lycra clinics.

Chan has a masters degree in paediatric physiotherapy and also has masters in clinical research. He is also actively involved in work-related clinical research and has publications in peer reviewed journals.

Chan was a professional lead for physiotherapy in Oxford health NHS Foundation trust. Chan has special interest in managing children with neurological and orthopaedic conditions, complex physical needs and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Tessa Shaw
Tessa qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2006 and has been specialising in Paediatrics for 8 years within the NHS. She has experience working with a range of neurological, developmental, chromosomal and orthopaedic conditions.

Tessa believes that physiotherapy for children should be fun and enjoyable, even if we have to work hard to achieve goals.

Tessa has a special interest in gait analysis and orthotics provision for children with neurological difficulties.

Sam Yovan
Sam has 20 years of neurological physiotherapy experience in a variety of clinical settings. Sam has special interest in complex case management. He focuses on a patient centered model using a multi-disciplinary team approach.

Sam has worked with a team of clinical psychologists, occupational therapists and support workers and was involved in specialised physiotherapy assessment, treatment planning and setting up of individualised rehab plans.
